This year the Southeast Chapter of the 944Cup will have seven (7) Rounds of racing and Points for finishing position within chapter/region at the Nationals!   

• The Regional Championships: We will be adding a provision this year which will give racers participating in the 944Cup Nationals the opportunity to include their cumulative results from the Championship weekend as one race score that can be counted in the best 10 races for their Regional Championship.  This should encourage racers to attend, so they can defend against people in their region, yet not be discouraged from attending because they may finish 12^th overall

• There are three races at the Nationals, two qualifying races and the Championship race on Sunday.  We will use a formula to assign points to each of the 3 races, cumulate and then average to come up with a Nationals race score.  This race score may count as one Regional race for determining the best 10 races for the Regional Championship.  The maximum that be scored for the Nationals race score will be 30 points.

• The combined event this year is at VIR in July, with the Mid Atlantic Region.  While NASA will score all the 944’s together and award top three trophies on Saturday night, the Mid Atlantic and Southeast Chapters will award points based on the racer’s region.

• A few changes have been made to the weights this year, so please review all the 2008 Rules and Regulations for 944Cup and SuperCup at:
