944Southeast

The 44Cup series includes two Classes of racing: the Cup Class and the Super Cup Class. The Cup Class is primarily the normally aspirated 8V engines. The Super Cup Class includes mostly Turbos and 16V normally aspirated cars.

New for 2009!

944Cup Nationals @ VIR Full Course October 9-11, 2009

This year the 944Cup Series will have 7 Rounds of racing in the Southeast Chapter, plus a 944Cup Nationals at VIR in October which will include 3 days of racing and the 944Cup Annual Awards Banquet!

New for this year, we will be participating in the PCA Road Atlanta event for March 27-29. For this event, PCA will require all 944Cup racers be PCA members, have regular PCA club racing licenses, and run under PCA rules.

Contact at the 2008 NASA Nationals

Unfortunately, Bill’s car had hard contact at the Nationals. The other driver was heard yelling “… hey guys, watch this!” - Sept. 11, 2008

Here’s your Ticket…

Towing the race car, going back home after the Road Atlanta race, Manley (our transport driver) stops for fuel.  When he went inside, the attendant asked him “… do you race that car?”  Without missing a beat Manley replied “… no, we just like to pull it around on the trailer”.
